Obituary of Ilene Brock

HARRISBURG — The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2, at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City for Ilene Florence Brock of Harrisburg, who died Nov. 27 of complications from cancer. She was 77. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.She was born March 22, 1934, in Chicago to Alvin and Florence Martink Nelson.She married Cedric Brock on Sept. 10, 1970, in Harrisburg.She graduated from high school in Sweet Home and graduated from business college in Salem. She worked as a bookkeeper for Norris Paint in Salem until 1970, then worked with her husband on the family farm.Survivors include a daughter, Christina Purkerson of Alvadore; a son, Robert Hemple Jr. of Eugene; two stepdaughters, Edwinna Parker of Lebanon and Marilyn Mortenson of Eugene; a stepson, Robert of Monument, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.Burial will be at Workman Cemetery in Harrisburg.
