Obituary of Barbara Mortenson

Barbara MortensonSPRINGFIELD — Barbara Ann Mortenson of Springfield died Nov. 30 of age-related causes. She was 89. No service is planned.She was born Oct. 2, 1922, in Cleveland, Ohio, to William and Elizabeth Devlin Burt.She married Grant Mortenson on June 23, 1950, in Tacoma, Wash. He died Oct. 25, 2011.She graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Ohio University in 1944. She worked as a counselor for the YMCA in Massachusetts and Washington. She was also a homemaker.Survivors include three sons, Douglas and Erik, both of Springfield, and Kevin of Shutesberry, Mass.; a daughter, Ann Mortenson of Eugene; and five grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
