Obituary of Richard Niemeyer

Richard NiemeyerRichard Niemeyer of Eugene died Nov. 27 of throat cancer. He was 75. A memorial service is planned later in Santa Cruz, Calif.He was born Jan. 29, 1936, in Los Angeles to Theodore and Gwendolyn French Niemeyer. He married Joyce Bane on April 7, 1967, in Freedom, Calif. He married Gwendolyn Wedgwood on Dec. 21, 1989, in Santa Cruz.He attended the University of California at Los Angeles. He worked as both a corporate and municipal property tax appraiser.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Laura Littlefield of Arlington, Wash., and Kathryn LaVenne of Portland; a brother, William of Long Beach, Calif.; and one grandson.Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Santa Cruz.
