Obituary of Nick Beddow

Nick BeddowNick Beddow of Eugene, formerly of McKenzie Bridge, died Dec. 5 of age-related causes. He was 88. No service is planned.He was born June 28, 1923, in Selz, N.D., to William and Dorothy Lesmeister Beddow. He married Shirley “Shirl” Allen on Dec. 23, 1946, in San Diego.He served for 22 years in the Navy as a flight engineer, retiring in 1962. After retirement, he worked for General Electric for about 10 years and for Litton in Grants Pass.Survivors include his wife. A son, Richard Beddow, died in 2009.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene. Remembrances to the Kidney Foundation.
