Obituary of Antonio Tartaglia
Antonio passed away peacefully at the Oakville Trafalgar MemorialHospital on Friday May 8, 2020 with his loving wife Lucy (nee Ninetta) by hisside. He will be sadly missed by his children Luciana, Anna-Rita (Paul), Tammy(Maurizio) and he will also be deeply missed his grandchildren Dylan, Erik,Aldo and Gaia. Antonio was born the second youngest, in the small town of Madonna DeiMiracoli, Province di Chieti Italy, on January 18, 1938 to parents Teresa andGiovanni Tartaglia with siblings Francesco, Maria, Giuseppe and Antonietta.At the age of 21 years, Antonio immigrated to Canada, living with his brotherto begin his life journey in a new country. Here in Canada is where he met hiswife Lucy, the love of his life. They fell in love, were married and went on toraise three wonderful daughters together. Antonio had many passions, but he was most proud of the better life that hecontinued to make for his family; his wife, his daughters and his fourgrandchildren all of who he loved unconditionally. He lived life to thefullest, and he was never afraid to work hard and he poured endless passioninto his family, near and far, here and in Italy. His friends and extendedfamily also played a large role in his life. Antonio enjoyed family dinners, heloved playing endless rounds of golf, he loved playing bocce and travelling tothe sunny areas with his wife, family and many friends. The family asks that in lieu of flowers you make a donation in memory ofAntonio to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or to Canadian LungAssociation.
