Obituary of Ina Brooks

Ina BrooksA celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Santa Clara Church of Christ in Eugene for Ina M. Brooks of Eugene, who died Dec. 5 of age-related causes. She was 98.She was born Jan. 16, 1913, in Jay, Okla., to James and Minnie Pierce Bishop. She married Thomas Brooks in 1958 on the Oregon Coast. He died Nov. 23, 1979.She was a homemaker and foster parent.Survivors include a daughter, Billie Blanton of Springfield; a son, Jack Baird of Springfield; a sister, Oneta Carroll of Jay, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.Private family burial will be at the Lorane IOOF Cemetery. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
