Obituary of Norman R. True

Norman R. True passed away into the loving embrace of our Lord and Saviour on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the age of 92, where he joined his beloved wife Alice. Norm was a man of deep faith, and his love for Jesus guided him on his journey through this life. He hoped to teach the way of Jesus, sharing the love of God with others, knowing the way to Heaven is through Him. His extreme kindness and willingness to help others over the years was a blessing to so many. He loved to treasure hunt, but his most precious treasures were his children Mark, Barry, Rosemary, Patti and their spouses. He relished his role as patriarch of the family, and cherished his loving grandchildren. There are many fond and blessed memories of times spent with family and cousins at Sharbot Lake, visiting with Algonquin relatives.Norm worked for the City of Ottawa in Bylaw, helping to keep the city running smoothly on his beat. He faced life’s challenges with faith, trusting God with every outcome. Norm was also a man of sincere gratitude. In that same spirit of gratitude, the family wishes to send special regards to Doreen, Brian, Elaine and Garland. A special thank you to all who looked after Norm at the Perley, where he resided. Thank you to Dr. Raymond who cared for Norm for so many years; she truly is “royalty.” Warm wishes to the ‘family butler,’ Danny – (thanks “D” from Dad). Thank you to all of our church leaders who poured into our family over the years. You all know his deepest prayer… that we all will meet up in Heaven some day with our Heavenly Father. If Norm had one last question for you, he would ask: “Do you know Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour?” … because he modeled this in his lifetime. Until we meet again in Heaven
