Obituary of Raffaele Cresta

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Raffaele Cresta on Monday, May 4th, 2020 at Southlake Regional Health Care Centre. He will be dearly missed for being an amazing husband to his loving wife of 63 years, Concetta (Nee Tecce). He will always be cherished for being a wonderful father to his children, Rosy (Nunzio), Carmine (Giselle) and a truly loving Nonno to his grandchildren Daniel, Jeremy, Agostino (Liliana) and Samantha, as well as great-nonno to Andrea, Justin, Helena, Alexia and Julia. He is the son of the late Carmine Cresta and late Rosa Cresta (Nee Tecce) and is the son-in-law of his beloved surviving mother-in-law Giuseppina Tecce (nee DeRienzo) and late Nicola Tecce. He is the brother of the late Michele (late Clara), late Antonietta, late Maria, late Lucia and to surviving sister Teresa. He is the cherished brother-in-law of Maria (Rudolfo) and Raffaele (Anna). He will be missed be his many nieces and nephews Rosa-Maria (Mario), Carmine (Rosaria), Massimilliano (Antonella), John (Laura), Nicky (Olga), Gloria, Liliana (Frank), Giusy, Liliana (Federico), Veronica and Nicola and his many great nieces and great nephews. He has a special place in the hearts of his aunt Zia Eufemia (Late Americo), and his cousins Filomena (Alex), Carmelina (Fred), and Maria (Luigi) and his many great cousins. He will be missed by all the family, friends and neighbours who he has touched the hearts of while living in Italy, Montreal and Newmarket.The family would like to thank Dr. Cantarutti and Dr. Zadra for their dedication, compassion and care over the years. It is with deep sadness that we cannot join together during this world pandemic to celebrate the life of Raffaele Cresta. In following the Government of Ontario's restrictions, a private funeral mass for the immediate family will be held on Thursday, May 7th at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel in Newmarket. Entombment at Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in North York . In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Southlake Regional Health Care Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundations.
