Frederick HampleA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Central Lutheran Church in Eugene for Frederick “Fred” Hample of Eugene, who died Dec. 2 of congestive heart failure. He was 81. A reception will follow the service at the church.He was born Nov. 9, 1930, in Oakes, N.D., to Frederick and Helen Erickson Hample. He married Clarene Carr on Jan. 21, 1955, in Eugene.He graduated from Eugene High School in 1948 and from the University of Oregon business school in 1956. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He served in leadership and board of directors positions for various nonprofit groups, was a business consultant and motivational speaker, and he founded Payment Insured Plan Inc., National Warranty Corp., and other businesses.Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Darcie McNally and Diane Caisse, both of Eugene; two sons, Brent and Eric, both of Eugene; and seven grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
