Obituary of Jack Bush

Jack BushPeacefully on Tuesday, April 28, 2020, Jack passed away at Queensway Carleton Hospital at the age of 92. Leaving behind his wife Audrey (née Stoddart) of 62 years and four children: Maureen Judge (Shane) Thunder Bay ON, Murray Toronto ON , Lyall Seattle WA , and Garry (Tracey) Ottawa ON . Grandpa leaves behind three grandchildren, who adored him: Justin Bush (Amanda) Burnaby BC, Gordie Judge Thunder Bay ON, Leanna Bush Calgary AB. Jack was pre-deceased by his parents, Walter and Collena (MacDougall) Bush, brother Neil Bush (Iva) and sister Sheila MacGregor (John). Jack grew up in Avonmore Ontario, and he and Audrey raised their four children there; the village always remained close to his heart. As a young man he owned a fleet of mail delivery trucks. Later, he opened what became a successful insurance brokerage. Jack and Audrey retired to Nepean in 1990. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on A3 at the Queensway Carleton Hospital for the excellent care they provided in Jack’s final days. A Memorial Service for all family and friends will be held in Jack’s honour when the situation allows. Donations in Jack’s memory would be appreciated and may be made to The Ottawa Heart Institute, Queensway Carleton Hospital or St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church Woodroffe Ave.
