Mario Di Ruscio In light of the current global pandemic, the present restrictions placed on group gatherings and the well-being of everyone, the visitation and service will be limited to immediate family only. It is with deep regret and profound sadness that the family announces that their beloved Husband, Father and Nonno, Mario Di Ruscio passed away suddenly on Monday, April 27 2020, at the age of 73.Beloved husband to Maria for 52 years. Loving father to Rob, his wife Sandra. Caring Nonno to their daughters, Julia and Isabella. Loving Father to Gerry, his wife Marta. Caring Nonno to their children, Giada and Marcus.Mario was born in Sora Italy on June 6th 1946 to his parents Gioacchino Di Ruscio and Filomena Evangelista (predeceased). Loving brother to Gino Di Ruscio (Mary) and Maria Grazia (Mark) Parete. Loving Zio his nephews and nieces. Beloved Son-in-law to Orazio Finelli and Giovanna Petrucelli (predeceased). Beloved brother-in-law to predeceased Antonia (Salvatore) Terlizzi and Pat (Monica) Finelli. Loving Zio to his nephews and nieces. Mario immigrated to Toronto in 1960. He was a Master Plumber at the Canadian Armed Forces Base in Downsview, Ontario for many years to provide the best for his family. He had many interests including billiards, golfing, woodworking, music, dancing, gardening and taking care of his fig trees. He loved to spend time in his garden, enjoying the sunshine. He was always carrying traditions forward by making tomato sauce, sausages and wine for his family every year. Mario was a kind and generous man who always greeted people with a smile. Mario will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. He loved his extended family immensely. Always there to offer his help, advice and knowledge to them.We are saddened not to have him here with us any longer. He will be greatly missed and will remain forever in the hearts of his loving family and all who knew him. There will be a private service on Monday, May 4, 2020 at 4p.m. at the Glendale Funeral Home, with a memorial mass and celebration of life to be conducted at a later date.
