Obituary of Rosalina Calip Zambrano

Rosalina Calip Zambrano was born August 30, 1932 in Ilocos Sur, Philippines. After a long and full life, Rosalina died peacefully at St. Michael’s Hospital on April 26, 2020 in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 87.Predeceased by her loving husband, Julian P. Zambrano in 1974. A devoted mother to her children Maria Luisa Z. Munsayac (Cornelio Munsayac) and Ferlito Zambrano. She was happiest as “Mama” to her 5 grandchildren: Alex, Emerson (Marivic), Julian (Michelle), Quintin and Karlee. She was a great-grandmother to Kyle, Sienna, Maxwell, Theodore, Charlie, Ezekiel and Rocky. She is survived by her sister, Mila Espino, and countless nieces and nephews. Rosalina worked at Philip Morris Corporation for almost 15 years. For a brief time she was a hairdresser in her own salon until she moved to Canada in 1971. For 2 years she worked for Bruno’s Salon. She also worked for Kimberly Clark for 20 years until she retired at the age of 60. As a devoted Catholic, Rosalina enjoyed attending every Sunday, Wednesday and first Friday of the month mass, where she developed many friends. She was very active within several community centers across Toronto and was always up for social meetings with her friends. Rosalina was a pescatarian and was very passionate about what she ate. She would look forward to the food at any party and always made sure she had something to take home to enjoy. She loved Tim Hortons coffee and was sure to have Timbits as a treat whenever she saw her great-grandchildren. Although she will be missed, the family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with Papa. The Family thanks you for your sympathies, thoughts and prayers
