Obituary of Donald Roy Arnold

A past resident of Sandfield and Mindemoya, Manitoulin Island, Ontario. Died peacefully at H.J. McFarland Memorial Home, Picton, Ontario on Saturday, April 25th, 2020 at the age of 96. Born to Hazel (nee Leeson) and Roy Arnold in Tehkummah, Manitoulin Island on September 2nd, 1923. Cherished husband of Lois (nee Myland), predeceased. Much loved father of Nancy (Warren, predeceased) Hayes, Sandra (Simpson) Cherry, Wendy Sharpe, George (Anne) Arnold, Lucinda (Rob) Cull, and Shelley-Anne (Pierre) Olivier. Proud grandfather of Kelly, Shawna, Tara, Erin, Donald, Andrew, Adam, Michael, Lindsay, David, Sarah, Reid, Dylan, Adam, Lauren, and Liam. Great grand-father of Adam, Sophia, Samantha, Kamryn, Alison, Leilo, Ethan, Ryan, Andrea, Christina, Ainsley, Alana, Shelby, Brooklyn, Miley, Cameron, Aleah, Anden, Bentley, Charley, Oakley, Mikayla, Lyric, and Austin. Predeceased by brothers Leland and Wendall Arnold.Visitation will be held at the Highland Funeral Home – Scarborough Chapel, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East, Scarborough, Ontario on Saturday, May 2nd, 2020 from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Due to Covid-19 and the restrictions that are in place, only 10 individuals will be allowed into the funeral home at any given time. The funeral home staff will monitor the attendance, if you are not inside the building, we ask you to remain in your car. The Funeral Service will be celebrated at 1 p.m. with Pastor Kirk MacLeod officiating. The service will be private attendance; however, family and friends are able to view the service virtually (please see instructions below). Interment to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Toronto, Ontario. If desired, donations can be made to H.J.
