Obituary of Walter Hermann Bose

BOSE, Walter Hermann - Passed away in Markham-Stouffville Hospital on Tuesday, April 24, 2020 with no family by his side due to the Covid-19 Virus. He celebrated his 94th Birthday one week before his passing. Cherished husband of Ilse Marie Erna (Dittmann) for 65 years. Will be sadly missed by his two daughters - Monica (and Jim McMillen) and Marieta (Graham). Will be fondly remembered by his 4 grandchildren - Kevin (and Lindsay), Andrew (and Maggie), Kristy (and Matt), Courtney (and Corey). Will be lovingly remembered by his 6 great-grandchildren - Ava, Cora, Rayne, Kayden, Harlen and Adelaine.Walter and Ilse fled East Germany after WWII in 1955 by freighter ship to build a better life in Scarborough, Ontario. He became a carpenter by trade--he also built his own house as well as his cherished cottage on Kahshe Lake. He retired and moved to the country north of the city and became a Christmas Tree Farmer, selling Cut Your Own Christmas Trees right into his final Christmas season at age 93.Small, intimate Funeral Service April 25, 2020 with only immediate family members present.The family of Walter have asked if you would like to donate to the Canadian Food Bank in honor of Walter.
