She immigrated to Canada in 1968, a young lady, alone in a strange land, not knowing anyone, with no supports. She worked a variety of jobs in a number of employment settings in the roles of housekeeping, nanny and sewing. She eventually obtained employment at (Philco) Ford Canada where she worked as an Assembler for 24 years until her retirement in 2002. She was an excellent cook and hosted many family gatherings, loved to bake along with her chosen crafts of crocheting and sewing. Irene was also a source of love and comfort and aid to her family, especially her parents right up to their passing.Unfortunately she has had many health challenges over the past 15 years with rapid deterioration over the past 2 years. She fully trusted in the Lord and fought bravely with the unwavering support of her husband and family. We know you are at great peace with the Lord. You will always and forever be in our hearts.
