Obituary of Florence Valentini
Florence Valentini, Loving wife to husband Angelo, and loving mother to Anthony and Annette, died on Sunday, April 19, 2020. Everyone that was fortunate enough to have met this incredible woman, loved and adored her just like her family did. Even though she was dealt some very hard circumstances with her health for so long, her strength to go on and her zest for life were infectious. It’s difficult to put into words what she meant to us, because there aren’t any words worthy enough to describe her beauty, her compassion to other people, her relentless care and nurturing of her family…it’s truly heartbreaking to realize that we won’t have this angel in our lives anymore. She was such a giving person, always ready to help out everyone else before herself. Whenever there was a problem, you could always call her for a shoulder to cry on, and she made you feel like she was going through it with you and you weren’t alone. She dedicated her life to making everyone around her happier, safer, fuller, and set to face the challenges of life. How do you put into words that she was the single most important woman in our lives, and that the sound of her voice lifted our spirits too many times to count. How can we thank her for the countless sacrifices she made for us, and put her needs in front of her own, that made us the people we are today. She learned how to use a computer later in life, but oh how she loved it, especially when it came to viewing videos of baby monkeys, or doing a little online shopping. And how many of you shared some laughs with her over the phone about what happened on Dancing with the Stars, or 90-Day Fiancé? In her earlier years, you would always find her on the dance floor, and as she became less mobile, she continued to sway to the music any way she could. And you could hear the joy and excitement in her voice whenever she was treated with a long drive around our beautiful city. The only thing that keeps us going is that she can now dance to the oldies whenever she wants, walk along the beach, or do whatever she couldn’t for so many years – all without pain. This is the only thing at this time, that brings a small smile to our faces, amidst the tears. Everyone has their own stories of how Florence touched their lives, and even though we can’t all be together and share our feelings to mourn collectively, let’s all say a prayer for this angel that made it back to heaven. WE WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU MOM AND THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING – dance like no one is watching. Rest in Peace forever.Due to the COVID-19 situation, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The entombment will take place on Friday, April 24, 2020 for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Arthritis Society. Online condolences may be shared in the Guestbook. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
