James KreklauA graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at Springfield Memorial Gardens for James “Jim” Kreklau of Eugene, who died Dec. 6 of age-related causes. He was 83.He was born May 8, 1928, in Glendive, Mont., to Adolf and Frieda Hageman Kreklau. He married Lenora Getchell on Sept. 7, 1958, in Eugene.He served in the Army during the Korean War. He was owner and operator of Kreklau’s Roller Rink and an Exxon service station and worked for The Register-Guard before retiring from Mayflower Moving Co. in 1994.Survivors include his wife; three sons, Richard of Prineville, Wally of Jacksonville, Fla., and Donnie of Forest Grove; a daughter, Debra Goolsby of Milwaukie; and 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two sons died previously, Paul in 1995 and Jimmie in 2009.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances to Humane Society or American Red Cross.
