Obituary of Stano Chiappetta

Stano Chiappetta (10.31.1944 to 04.16.2020)On Thursday April 16th, 2020, Stano Chiappetta, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away after a hard-fought battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis at the age of 75. Stano will be forever remember by his wife and best friend of 53 years, Franca, their children, Tony (Tina) and Claudio (Lucrezia), by his five precious grandchildren, Jordan, Jonathan, Cristian, Samantha and Gabriel, and his loving sister, Elvira Iusi. Stano will also be forever remembered by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Stano was born in San Benedetto Ullano a town in the province of Cosenza, Calabria, Italy. In his early years, Stano spent time in Germany before settling in Canada in 1965. He met Franca and they married on August 13, 1966.Stano had an incredible passion for the outdoors and especially his garden. He enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labour with family and friends as well as, sharing his knowledge with his children and grandchildren. We appreciate all of the kind words and prayers during this time. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may make memorial donations in honour of Stano to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (cpff.ca). Stano’s generous spirit and life will be celebrated when we can all be together again.
