Obituary of Ernesto Abad

It is with great sadness that the family of Ernesto Abad announces his passing on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at the age of 83 years. Ernesto will be lovingly remembered by his wife of almost 59 years, Wilhelmina and his children, Manuel (Angela), June (Marlyn), Ermilyn, and Amabel (Harald). Ernesto will also be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren, Byron, Justin, Gabriel, Matthew, Alexis and Sophia. Ernesto will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.A beloved father and husband, Ernesto always put his family first. His battle with Parkinson’s Disease never defined him, rather it strengthened his faith in God. His love for his family and passion for life were that much greater. He enjoyed being surrounded by his family. Your loving family is always here with you, Tatay. Your calm demeanor was your strength that we all held on to. You will always be remembered by your unwavering love of us, and now you can finally rest in peace with God. We will always treasure our memories and you will be forever in our hearts.A Funeral Service in memory of Ernesto will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 and respecting the current restrictions the family will have a private funeral service for Ernesto. A separate remembrance celebrating Ernesto’s life will be planned at a later date.
