Obituary of Darnley Ashby

Darnley Sin Clair Ashby has completed his final Rite of Passage; birth, responsible adulthood, family formation, eldership, and finally, on Wednesday 8, April 2020 at the age of 89, Darnley transitioned. Darnley was born on December 3, 1931, to parents Beatrice and Robert Ashby [both deceased]. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth Carty, and to Sheila Edwards (deceased). Darnley is survived by his brother Euclid, Rudolph and Arthur. Loving and devoted father to: Trevor, sipho, Erica, Renrick, Permell, Denise [deceased 1984], Marjorie and Gloria. Stepfather to Mary-Lisa and Frank Pall, his loving sisters-in-law, Marie, Millicent, Uretha, and Beryl; daughters-in-law, Yvonne, Melody, and Muthoni; son-in-law Earl. Loving grandfather to; Cory, Candice, Alessi, Halle, James, Thandiwe, Adwin, Uche, Renee, Kirsten, Anslem, Peter, David, Lu Ann, Lorena, Katisha, Susan, Tricia, Vanessa, Renecia, Nicholas, and Vanessa. Darnley was a great-grandfather to Austin, Allianna, Aidan, Milan, Zayd, Keisha, Andrea, Akino, Antonio, Khadeja, Kiarra, Nickel, Nikita, Zalisha, Tanisha, Atisha, Natisha, Jenesia, Janesiah, Jenason, Jahquin. Darnley will be deeply missed. A celebration of Darnley's life will be arranged, at a later date, once restrictions are lifted.
