Obituary of Roy French
Mr. Roy French It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Roy in his 94th year on April 13, 2020. Passed away peacefully in his sleep, he was a man of great courage and faith! Born in Cornerbrook Newfoundland in 1926, Roy needed a passport to come to Toronto because Newfoundland was not a part of Canada at the time. True blue Newfie if you will! Reunited with his loving wife of 75 years, Effie Evangline French nee Cox (predeceased 2019). Rejoined with his 8 beloved children: Annie, Albert, Eileen, Allison, John, Linda, Sharon and Billy. Predeceased by his siblings: Delphine, Jessie, Gladys, Annie, Douglas, William, Albert and Malcolm. Survived by his sister Emmie Vaughan of Lindsay, Ontario. Sadly missed by many nephews, nieces and extended family members here and abroad. Roy was also a long-time employee at the Breweries Retail for 43 years. Services for the late Mr. French will be held privately, we encourage guests and family members to leave a message, memory or condolence on his obituary page.
