Obituary of Angelina Borovilos
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Angie Borovilos... mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother... at the age of 82. Angie was predeceased by her husband Sydney in 1991, and is survived by her sister Maragaret Carandas of Buffalo, New York and George Peter (Georgia Kapelos) of Toronto, Ontario. Angie will be lovingly remembered by all, but especially by her daughters Elaine Murphy (Peter) and Gina Borovilos; her grandchildren Kevin (Alisa), Eric (Adrienne), Colleen (James) and Nicole, Sydney and Amanda. Her great-grandson Joseph. She was also loved by numerous nephews and nieces across both Canada and the United States. Angie was born in Galt, Ontario, to James and Helen Peters. In her late teens, Angie met the love of her life Sarandos (syd) Borovilos. They were married in July of 1957 and raised their family predominantly in Montreal, but eventually returned to the Toronto area in 1982. Angie was unbelievably gentle, kind and soft spoken. She loved to read books, watch classic movies and listen to Frank Sinatra And Elvis Presley. Angie had a cute sense of humour, and she loved to visit with family and friends. She was both devoted to and so very proud of her grandchildren. Mom and yaya, we love you and will miss you forever. A Celebration of life will be held once the current situation abates to allow such a gathering. in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer's Society Canada.
