Obituary of Glynne Henderson
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Glynne (Glyn) on Tuesday April 7, 2020 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Beloved husband of Jean. Loving father of Gail (Stephen), Nikki (Ed), Maxine (Bob). Very proud grandfather of Craig, Lauren (Alec), Matthew (Daniella), Michael (Stephanie), Emily (Steven), Cory, Robert (Roanna), Matthew. Great grandfather to Jameson, Mackenzie, Kighler, Maxwell & Sebastian. Cherished brother of Bob (Margaret). Glynne will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Manchester, England and Clydebank Scotland. Glynne will also be missed by many lifelong friends and colleagues from the Golf Community.Glynne was a Master Plumber and a proud member of Local 46. In retirement Glynne was a Marshall at Royal Ontario Golf Course in Oakville and that was a job he enjoyed as he could interact with players and add to his collection of golf balls. A lifelong Manchester City fan as we called him a “true blue”Glynne was an avid traveller and always looked forward to the next adventure that involved sand, sun and good food. An aspiring chef he loved to master the most intricate of recipes and they were delicious.Glynne was always first to step up and help those in need, donating to the blood drives, food banks and was King of PC points every Christmas that went to Charity. The family extends sincere thanks to the staff Oakville Trafalgar Hospital for their care and compassion.As per his wish cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19 a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Glen Oaks Funeral Home & Cemetery.
