Obituary of Christine Rohini Stanislaus

Christine Rohini Stanislaus passed away peacefully on April 1, 2020 at the age of 69. She had been livingand cared for at the Houses of Providence nursing home in Scarborough, Ontario. In her passing Rohini was reunited with her beloved husband Tony and her much loved parents, Lily and Frederick Martyn. She was a cherished & proudmother to Antoinette (Lilanthi), Dr. Althea (Shevanthi) Benedict, Anne (Chrishanthi) and a loving mother-in-law to Anselm (Rohindren) Benedict. Rohini came from a large and loving family. She was an affectionate and loyal sister to Padmini Selvarajah, Raghu Martyn, Dr. Jeevendra Martyn, Rabi Martyn and Loga Martyn. A loving in-law to the late Dr. Robert Selvarajah, Eileen Martyn, Raji Martyn, Delecta Martyn, Dr. Rathika Martyn, the late Mary-Anne and late Louispillai Stanislaus, Dr. Beatrice and Dr. Navaratnam Navaneetharajah, the late Rex Stanislaus, Rani and Jega Jeganathan, Dr Marina and the late Anton Benedict. She will be fondly remembered by her godson, cousins, many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and friends. Rohini was admired by all for her steadfast faith in God, her strength of character, unlimited kindness and the love and affection she poured upon her loving daughters. She will be dearly missed. A formal funeral and a fitting celebration of life for Rohini will be held at a later date and when it is safe to do so. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at the Houses of Providence for the unconditional love, patience and care given to Rohini while she lived there.
