Obituary of Giovanna Masconi

GIOVANNA MASCONI(NEE IANNOZZI)JULY 29TH, 1926 - APRIL 6TH, 2020Peacefully passed away at Villa Forum, Mississauga on Monday April 6th. Predeceased by her parents Rachele Recchia & Vincenzo Iannozzi , brother Orlando Iannozzi, sister-in-law Luisa Iannozzi and son-in-law Diego LaValle. She leaves behind her husband of 64 years Mario, daughters Rachel (Frank) and Samantha (Frank). Very proud nonna to Danielle, David (Jessica), Stephanie (Brett), Ross, Lauren and Rebecca. "Great" nonna to Griffin.Mamma was born in Veroli, a small hillside village in the province of Frosinone, Italy. A tireless worker, she sacrificed everything for her family. Her no nonsense personality hid her great sense of humour and kind heart. She gave more to the world around her than she ever took. We will miss her feisty personality and wonderful meals.A private graveside funeral will take place at Glen Oaks Funeral home & Cemetery in Oakville on Saturday April 11th, 2020. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time when such gatherings are allowed. If wishing to do so, in lieu of flowers, please donate to your local Food Bank or a charity of your choice. This would have made her very happy.Special thanks to all the wonderful and caring staff at Villa Forum. They are truly angels on earth.
