Obituary of Emilio Aguila Asistores
Emilio Aguila Asistores Passed away unexpectedly in his 87th year. Emilio was born in the Philippines to parents Emilio and Susana. He graduated from the University of the Philippines in 1953 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. Emilio immigrated to Canada to pursue graduate studies at McGill University in Electrical Communications and obtained a graduate Diploma in Management. Emilio married Thérèse (nee DeRoy) in 1959 and their adventure began with a trip around the world for their honeymoon. Their passion for travel continued to grow throughout their life together and was central to many memories shared by their children. Emilio devoted 37 years of his professional life to Bell Canada; he semi-retired in 1990 and worked for the CRTC until he retired in 1999.Emilio is survived by his wife of 61 years Thérèse, his children Elle (Scott), Mark (Lisa), and Susan (Ken), and his grandchildren Manuel, Alexander, and Nicholas.The family is grateful and wishes to say a heartfelt thank you to the many compassionate staff at the Orchard Walk Retirement Community, as well as the equally caring staff at the Home Dialysis Clinic at the Ottawa Hospital who cared for Emilio over the last few years in his battle with chronic kidney disease.
