Obituary of Giuseppe Cammalleri

Giuseppe Cammalleri,It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Giuseppe Cammalleri. Giuseppe, known to everyone as “Joe”, departed this world on April 3, 2020. Beloved husband of 55 years of Maria (Avola). Devoted and loving father of Rosetta Scarlato (Romeo), Rosario (Lisa) and Frank (Maria). Proudest of Nonno to Andrea (Vinh), Joseph, Alex, Melania, Eric, Luke, Gianfranco and Mark. Brother of Calogera (Leonardo), Angela (Gaetano), and Pasquale (Giovanna). Brother in-law to Joe (Anna), Tony (Ornella), Anthony (Carmela) and Mimma (Pasquale). Joe lost his battle with cancer which he fought until his last breath. Joe loved his family beyond anything else. His love for his wife, children and grandchildren was an example to all. His passion for his garden was only surpassed by his love for his family. We will all miss his special deliveries, surprise visits and calls after every Toronto Maple Leafs’ game. He was truly a man who embodied the term “selfless” and would always put the welfare of others before himself. We will honour his memory by maintaining the bonds of family that he worked tirelessly to create. Joe will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew him, leaving a truly amazing legacy. We know Joe is watching over all of us, cold espresso in his hand, ready to tell us that whatever we do in our daily lives it is always “better than nothing!” Rest in peace.
