Obituary of Bridget Persaud
Bridget Persaud (Harduwar), affectionately known as Aunty Bridge to many, aged 68, passed away peacefully on March 15th, 2020 with her family by her side at Trillium Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario. Bridget is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Ramesh Harduwar; her children, Shanie (Ravi), Omesh (Tricia); her grandchildren, Aden, Matthew and Olivia; her sister Sandra Puran and her brother, Edward Persaud.Bridget was born on July 10, 1951 at Friendship Village, East Coast Demerara (E.C.D), Guyana, the daughter and first child of the late Kamo and Ada Persaud. In 1973, Bridget married the love of her life, Ramesh Harduwar at Annandale, E.C.D, Guyana. They started their married life in Annandale and eventually the family settled in New York, U.S.A., where she made her final home. Family was Bridget’s pride and joy. Her dedication and commitment to her family created a unit filled with love, kindness, happiness and success. She loved to cook and the aroma of delicious food always filled her home. Roti, dhal, rice and chicken curry were her signature dishes to everyone who visited her home. Bridget's family referred to her as the “Boss.” She was a well-dressed, sociable and dignified woman with a wide circle of friends. Her voice was lovingly firm when she spoke. Her sense of humour was sharp and on point and at times, left everyone speechless. A private service will be held.Take a moment to share a memory with the family.
