Obituary of Jawahar Veerendra Adhiya

Due to exceptional circumstances with the COVID-19 virus, we kindly ask that ONLY immediate and extended family attend the funeral.Thank you for your understanding. Jawahar (Jay) Veerendra Adhiya passed away peacefully at Milton District Hospital on Sunday, March 15, 2020. He was surrounded by his close family at the time of his death.Jay was born in India on November 25th 1949 to the late Veerendra Adhiya and Kusum Adhiya who is survived by him.Jay was a devoted husband to Jaimini Adhiya. He was also a devoted father to his children Niraj, Saurabh, and Jasmine. He was a loving grandfather to his grandchildren Kamran, Dylan, Nylah, and Jai. He was also a devoted father in law to Manisha, Martine and Bjorn.He is a survived by his brother Jayraj, his sister in law Hima and many nephews and nieces. Jay is forever reunited with his late sisters Sandhiya, Prana and his late father Veerendra.Jay will be fondly remembered by all his family and friends. We will forever remember him and keep in our hearts. We will love you forever Buttercup (nickname) and pizza pizza (nickname).Funeral Service will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville (Ninth Line & Dundas St. E) on Saturday March 21 2020 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Private Cremation will follow. With concerns in regards to the Coronavirus, a celebration of Jay’s life will be held at a later date to allow family members to return to Canada and attend.
