Obituary of Rawle Liverpool

Rawle “Pat” Androcles Liverpool passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 14, 2020. After a long, courageous battle with cancer, he passed at home, surrounded by his family.Born in Georgetown, St.Vincent, on July 14th, 1949, Pat was the youngest of 13 children. After years as a teacher in his home town, he immigrated to Canada at the age of 23, where he eventually became an employee of Ford Motor Company for 33 years. Pat is also remembered as a guitarist and vocalist for a number of calypso bands including Maguire’s Combo, The Winston Hewitt Band, Nuevo Sonora and CanCaribe. The ultimate hobbyist, he was a lover of model trains and a passionate member of COGRA (Central Ontario Garden Railway Association), a skillful maker of model boats during his time with the Metro Marine Modellers, and a flyer of model helicopters, planes, and drones. Pat is survived by his wife Sharon, with whom he shared over 46 years of love and companionship. He also leaves behind their two children: son Shawn (Helina) with grand-children Ayana and Zahara, and daughter Miranda. Also survived by his eldest daughter Patricia and her children, his step-daughter Allison, three older brothers (Winston, Enright, Leon) and numerous nieces and nephews. Family was his biggest joy, and we are certain he has happily reunited with loved ones who have left us over the years. In the interest of safety, and due to travel restrictions during the pandemic, Pat will be honoured with a private burial. A Celebration Of Life will follow in the coming months for those who wish to pay their respects and share their memories. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice is preferred and appreciated.
