Obituary of John Tamas
Surrounded by his loving family, John passed away peacefully on March 8, 2020. Beloved husband of Laurie and a loving, devoted father to Samantha. He was the cherished son of Anne Tamas and the late Andy Tamas. John will be missed immensely by his brothers and sisters, Rick (Nancy), Carol Ann (Kal), Andrew (Lorie), and Susan (Peter). John will forever be remembered by his mother-in-law Kitty Berney (and the late Lloyd Berney), late father-in-law Dick Thompson (Sylvia), sister-in-law Barb (Rick) and brother-in-law Tim (Karen). John had a gift of putting a smile on everyone's face and he always knew how to make his nephews and nieces laugh. They are so lucky to have had such a special bond with their “Uncle J”. His dynamic personality and infectious sense of humour will be dearly missed by his family and close friends. His life was filled with a tremendous passion for music and we know that he is playing the drums up in heaven. Thank you to the staff and volunteers at the Dorothy Ley Hospice for taking such wonderful care of John. Your support and caring nature was so appreciated. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to either the Dorothy Ley Hospice or to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada in support of the “Big Dog Walking” Team.
