Obituary of Clyde Baxter

Clyde BaxterA celebration of life will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 12 at Eugene Coffee Co. for Clyde W. Baxter of Eugene, who died Nov. 5 of kidney failure. He was 69.He was born Aug. 21, 1943, in Vernal, Utah, to Walter and Reda Pelkey Baxter. He married Lutier Bernard on Dec. 1, 1962, in Orange County, Calif. They later divorced. He and his wife, Carol, were married Aug. 9, 1980, in Naperville, Ill.He graduated magna cum laude from Long Beach University. He served two enlistments in the Navy. He worked in sales, public relations and hospitality and worked for Disney Corp. and S.S. Dental Supply.Survivors include his wife; a son, Clyde Raymond Baxter of Green Valley, Calif.; a daughter, Laura Eslinger of Garden Grove, Calif.; a sister, Shirley Aycock of Vernal, Utah; and four grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
