Obituary of Theresa Higgins

On Wednesday, February 26th, 2020 at the age of 90, Theresa Higgins (née Marie Jeanne Thérèse René de Cotret) passed away peacefully at Silverthorn Care Community where she resided for over 9 years. Theresa was the victim of two strokes in 1995 followed by another in 1997. She was predeceased by her devoted husband, Frank, in 2013. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Karen (Stephen), son Matthew (Julie), granddaughters Renée (Kristoffer) , Michèle (Alexandre), and Elizabeth, as well as her two great grandsons, Felix and Wallace. Funeral visitation will occur at Glen Oaks Funeral Home on Friday, March 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral Mass will take place at St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Mississauga at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14th, 2020. Donations may be made to Canadian Red Cross, Meals on Wheels or the Canadian Cancer Society, two organizations that Theresa faithfully served as a volunteer for many years, or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.Please take a moment to sign the online guestbook.
