Obituary of Serafina Collura

Serafina ColluraIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother Serafina Collura at the Brampton Civic Hospital, surrounded by her loving family on February 28, 2020, at the age of 79. Serafina was the caring and loving wife of Filippo Collura for 56 years. A wonderful mother to her three children, Charles (Joanne), Gail (Frank) and Fred (Romana). She was the loving grandmother to Emma, Sara, Benito, Sofia and Filipe. Precious daughter of the late Federico Insalaco and Cologera Insalaco. Dear daughter-in-law of the late Calogero Collura and Gaetana Collura. She will be sadly missed by her sister Maria and brother Salvatore, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in both Italy and Belgium. Serafina will always be remembered as a very devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She took great pride in cooking and gathering friends and family to celebrate numerous memorable occasions. Visitation will take place at the Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Road, Etobicoke, on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-9pm. A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 100 Bainbridge Avenue, Woodbridge, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11am. Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens.
