Obituary of Emilio Luigi Poggi

With sadness we announce the passing of the late Emilio Poggi on Saturday, February 29, 2020. Born in Genova, Italy on July 31, 1928 he was the son of the late Gugliemo Poggi and Paola Sparaccio. Including his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife Yolanda (nee: Rita) and son Ricki. Leaving with fond and precious memories are his daughter Laura (Flavio), grandchildren Jonathan (Ayaka), Bradley, David, Alexis (Alan), great-grandchildren Matthew, Alyssa, Raika along with a large circle of immediate, extended family and those who had the privilege of considering Emilio a friend, across Italy and Canada. Family will be accepting visitors on Wednesday, March 4 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.. A services celebrating the life of Emilio will be celebrated from the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 5 at 11:00 a.m.. In keeping with Emilio's personal wishes cremation will follow. Those wishing to make memorial donations are encouraged to donate to the Dorthy Ley Hospice, St. Joseph's Palliative Care or to a charity of donor's choice.
