Obituary of Helen Pifer

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at United Lutheran Church in Eugene for Helen Marie Pifer of Eugene, who died Jan. 11 of bone cancer. She was 93.She was born Nov. 7, 1918, in North Dakota to Axel and Kristiane Aure Abrahamson. She married Jim Pifer on April 2, 1994.She graduated from Springfield High School in 1938. She worked as a sales manager in plywood and lumber for 20 years.Survivors include her husband; a son, Don of Springfield; a daughter, Sharon Hall; and a brother, Arnold Abrahamson of Springfield.Arrangements by Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City. Remembrances to the Sonja Lodge No. 38 in Eugene.
