Obituary of Eugene Vanicek

Eugene “Jeep” Vanicek of Eugene died Jan. 15 of age-related causes. He was 84. No service is planned.He was born Sept. 22, 1927, in Skyler, Neb., to Joseph and Albina Vanicek. He married Charlotte Mathews on Sept. 11, 1986.He served in the Army and Navy. He retired from Kendall Ford in 1988.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Julie Hunnicutt of Eugene; and a sister, Louise Shackelford of Wilsonville.
