Obituary of Barbara Johnson

It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that after a brief illness, at the age of 81, the passing of Barbara Ann Johnson (nee Jones) at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital on Sunday, February 16, 2020.She was born September 3, 1938 in Montreal. She was married for 60 wonderful years to her loving husband Grant who she still considered her sweetheart. She was a loving and supportive mother to Karen and Keith. Nan will be dearly missed by her grandsons Colin and Evan. Barb will be remembered for her kindness and wonderful sense of fun. She made a long-lasting impression on those she met, and her friends were many – both longstanding and newly-made. She met life’s many challenges with courage, humour and compassion. Barb’s family would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and staff at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Their care and compassion made a very difficult time easier to bear. As well, thanks to family and friends whose support during this time has been invaluable and a great comfort to the family. Memorial donations may be offered to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital and The Canadian Cancer Society.
