Obituary of Richard Albert Laurin

(August 28, 1944 – February 15, 2020)Our beloved, husband, Dad and Papa died peacefully on February 15 with Brenda his wife of 55 years by his side. Much loved father of Connie and Tina and father-in law to Graeme and Jeff. Devoted Papa to Justin, Tyler, Zach and Nathan. Richard will be missed by his brothers and sister; Raymond (predeceased), Irene, Lionel, Roger, Ron and Bobbie.Richard had long and successful career in construction and building management in Montreal. After retiring as Vice-President of Place Bonaventure, he enjoyed 20 years of active retirement hanging out with and cheering on his four awesome grandsons.The family would like to express our deepest appreciation to the staff of the Waterford Long Term Care home for the care and attention that he received in his final days and for the support they and other families gave to Brenda over the past two years.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzhiemer’s Society of Ontario.All are welcome at a Visitation (11:00 am) and Service of Rememberance (1:00 pm) on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Glen Oaks Funeral Home 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville L6H 7A8
