Obituary of Albert Keenan

ELMIRA — The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Jan. 21 at Murphy-Musgrove Funeral Home in Junction City for Albert Leon Keenan of Elmira, who died Dec. 30 of age-related causes. He was 82. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Jan. 21 at the funeral home.He was born Sept. 29, 1929, in Conway, Mo., to Owen and Stella Thurman Keenan. He married Alice Blackwell on Aug. 18, 1956, in Monroe.He served in the Marine Corps for eight years. He worked as a logger, for Georgia-Pacific Plywood for 30 years and, after retirement, worked at Fern View Farm.Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cindy Talbott of Veneta; a son, Arthur of Crow; two sisters, Nina Luallin of Lebanon, Mo., and Julia Gann of Eddyville; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Burial will be at Monroe Cemetery.Remembrances to the Albert Keenan Memorial Fund at Northwest Community Credit Union.
