God called Mavis Agatha Taylor peacefully into his arms on February 8, 2020, from Brampton Civic Hospital at the age of 81. She was born on May 19,1938 in Victoria Town, Manchester, Jamaica to parents Joseph and Florence Taylor. Predeceased by her husband George Wint. Loving mother of Owen (Francine), Aldith (Vaughan), Norris (Shari), Patrick (Avis), Judith (Jean-Luc), Charmane, Maria and Marcia. Devoted grandmother of Marlon, Romayne, Andrew, Timothy, Farrah, Jermaine, Marlon, Yadira, Patrien, Patrice, Roger, Leroy (Raheem), Renee, Oneil and Christian. Proud great-grandmother of Micah, Jacoby, Kimani, Jaden, Galvin and Savannah. Dear sister of Inez (late Les), Neville (Alison), Fitzgerald (Enid), Carlton (Nellie), Albert and Cynthia (Debert). She will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her many extended family and friends. A Viewing will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Oakwoods Baptist Church (421 Oakwood Ave. York, ON) from 11:00 a.m. until the commencement of the service at 12:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Glenview Memorial Gardens (7541 Hwy. 50, Woodbridge).If so desired, donations in memory of Mavis can be made to the Oakwoods Baptist Church.
