Obituary of Michael John Austin

It is with great sorrow that our family announces the tragic passing of Michael John Austin on Thursday, February 6th, 2020 in the City of Toronto at the young age of 52. Mike was a loving and devoted father to two daughters Amena and late Daniela. He is also survived by his wife Waheeda. Mike was predeceased by his father Michael John. He will be missed by his mother Lorraine Austin, siblings John, Cathy, Barbara, Danny, Terry and their families. Mike will be tremendously missed by his extended family and friends and by his second family at the Toronto Police Service. For uniformed officers, dress uniform is preferred. Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Glen Oaks Chapel on Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. with burial to follow at Glen Oaks Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mike can be made to the Lighthouse For Grieving Children or Heartache 2 Hope.
