Obituary of Carmela Zenga

July 14th, 1945 – February 8th, 2020With sadness the family announces Carmela’s passing on February 8th, 2020. Loving mother of Joseph (Jean). Beloved grandmother of Jordan (Alejandra). Sister to Annette, Mike, Frank, Tina, Rita, and Mary. Pre-deceased by husband Giovanni and sister Anna. Born in Italy in 1945 to the late Giuseppe and Giuseppina Scapicchio, Carmela moved to Canada in 1957 with her family. Carmela was married to her loving husband of 42 years, Giovanni, in 1963. Carmela is loved and remembered for her compassionate and giving nature as well as her devotion to her family and faith. She will be missed by her many nephews, nieces, extended family, and friends. The Zenga family would like to thank the staff at Ian Anderson House, Credit Valley Hospital, and Princess Margaret Hospital for their wonderful care.Visitation will be held at Glen Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday February 11th, 2020 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of her life will be held at the Church of the Nazarene Oakville on Wednesday February 12th at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Ian Anderson House and Credit Valley Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
