Obituary of Cecilia Mi Lee Young

Young, Cecilia Mi Lee (nee Tang)With heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Cecilia at Princess Margaret Hospital, Toronto, on Friday, February 7, 2020 at the age of 65. Beloved wife of Gordon for 43 years. Loving mother of Christine and Jennifer (Tom). Dear sister of Henry (Sandra) and Thomas (Vickie) and sister-in-law of Xue Qing Yang, Yee Hing Wong and Ket Drong Yeung (Pow Chee). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. Cecilia graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1978 with a Bachelor of Mathematics. She went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant, and eventually set up her own accounting practice, which she ran for over 30 years. Cecilia was also active in Mississauga Chinese Business Association in the 80's and early 90's as its Treasurer. She loved mentoring young accountants and helping others. In her free time she loved golfing with her friends and exploring the world. Her favourite travel experience was snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, where she pet a giant grouper named Wally. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation in memory of Cecilia would be appreciated by the family.Please take a moment to sign the online guest book.
