Obituary of Joan Stedman
It is with great sadness and a profound sense of loss our family announces Joan's passing with her family by her side on Sunday, February 2, 2020 at Baycrest Hospital in Toronto at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Haynes for 42 years. Caring mother of Larry, Jeff and Jacinta. Proud grandmother of Jasmin and Simone. Survived by her sister Ethel. Predeceased by her parents Nathaniel and Meredith, siblings Cecil, Cristabel, Russell, Christian, Lucille and Randolph and nephews Curtis and Michael. Dearest aunt to Anthony "Tony", Autumn, Brenda, Cecil "Paulfrex", Christine, Danielle, Debra, Eddie, Emmeline, Ernest, Glen, Grayson Jr., Jennifer, Joelle, Marina, Mervun, Nobel, Rachel, Roseline, Sandra G. and Sandra L. Sister-in-law to Eggbert Hope, Annette Stedman, Rosalind ("Baba") Stedman, Mildred Stedman, Eddie Stedman, Grayson Stedman and Bertha Daisy. She will be sadly missed by her entire extended family including the Cuffy, Daisy, John, Joseph and Moulon families as well as all those who knew her.Visitation to be held at Glendale Funeral Home, 1810 Albion Road in Etobicoke on Friday, February 7th from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Wilfred's Catholic Church, 1675 Finch Avenue West in North York. As per Joan's wishes, cremation will take place.If desired, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
