Frank SwansonFrank Gilbert Swanson of Eugene died Jan. 30 of congestive heart failure. He was 78. A celebration of life is planned for a later date.He was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Bristol, S.D., to Fritzjou and Gertrude Hansen Swanson. He married Betty Talley on Oct. 12, 1963, in Las Vegas. She died Jan. 29, 2012.He served in the Army. He was owner and operator of Express Press Printing.Survivors include two daughters, Debbie Deguisne and Donna Compton, both of Eugene; two sons, Frank Swanson of New York City and Rick Davey of Canyon Lakes, Texas; two sisters, Lillian Nelson of Las Vegas and Alvera Stromsness of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Walden of Tucson, Ariz., and Roy of Michigan; and two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances may be sent to Sacred Heart Hospice.
