Obituary of Dorothy Rathcke

Dorothy RathckeDorothy Anne Rathcke of Eugene died Jan. 15 of a stroke or heart attack. She was 89. No service is planned.She was born March 19, 1922, in Napa, Calif., to Clifford and Florence Baldwin Harris. She married George Rathcke on Nov. 12, 1955, in Lake Tahoe, Nev. He died previously.She graduated in 1944 with a bachelor of science degree in nursing from the University of California, Berkeley. She worked as director of the psychiatric nursing program from 1952 to 1963 and was nursing administrator from 1963 to 1983 at Napa State Hospital.Survivors include a daughter, Karen Boren of Veneta; a son, Karl of Eugene; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A son, Clark Kujawka, died previously.Entombment was held Jan. 27 in Napa.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
