Obituary of Rita Mary Kent

KENT, Rita MaryIt is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Rita Kent. Rita died peacefully on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Neil, sons Gerry and Stephen, parents Alan and Eliza, and siblings Alan Jr., and Goldie. Rita is survived by her son Eric (Jody), daughters Mary-Jean and Anne (Howard), grandchildren Melissa (Glynn), Adam (Amie) and Billy, great-grandson Colton, her siblings Audrey, Alice, Francis and Douglas (Noella) and many nieces and nephews. Rita also leaves behind her church family at Parkwoods United Church where she was an active member for many years. She served as President of the U.C.W since 2011. She will be remembered as a kind, sweet woman with a positive outlook on life who was liked and respected by all as well as a devout Christian who served God, her church and community.Mom, you will be terribly missed and forever loved. Memorial Service to take place at Parkwoods United Church (85 Parkwoods Village Dr., North York) on Friday, January 24, 2020 at 1 p.m.Interment will take place in private at a later date.
