Obituary of Connie Maitland

Constance “Connie” Maitland(née Crawford)Unexpectedly, in hospital, on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late James (Ottawa Fire Department). Much loved mother of Deborah La Riccia (late Mario), Linda, Cindy Proulx (Nelson) and Susan Webster (Dave). Proud Nanny to her grandchildren Tanya, late Christina, Tiffany; Jason; Jordan; Jayme and her great-grandchildren Jessica, Samantha, Andrew, Victoria and Daniel.Dear sister of Bert Crawford, late Marilyn Skeemer, and Adrienne Crawford. She will also be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends. The family wish to express their gratitude to Dr. Simon Wells and the nurses at the Resuscitation Unit at the Civic Hospital for their care and compassion. Family and friends are invited to visit at Capital Funeral Home and Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Dr., Nepean on Friday, January 24, 2020 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, January 25 at 10:00 am followed by interment and then a reception. For those wishing, a donation to the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County would be appreciated.
