Obituary of Mario David Ruffolo
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mario David Ruffolo Jr. on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in Guelph. Mario is survived by father Mario Sr., siblings Cathie Oberle (Frank), Joe Ruffolo and Gina Fryer, predeceased by his mother June Ruffolo and sister Adelina and will forever be remembered by nieces, nephews, many cousins, aunts and uncles. Mario was a quiet man who had a deep passion for helping others and horses. A long time Security Officer at Mohawk Racetrack and most recently, as a Security Officer at Gardaworld. Mario was always the first to find the positive in every situation and he found happiness in being able to help whenever he could and by random acts of kindness. There is an indescribable amount of sadness that hangs over us and the untimely passing of Mario. Our family wishes to give thanks for the outpouring of kind words of support during this time. It’s overwhelming. Family and friends will be welcomed at Glen Oaks Funeral Home, 3164 Ninth line, Oakville, on Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 11am-1pm. Entombment will follow. All are invited to continue sharing memories of Mario during a time of reception and fellowship at the main funeral home from 2pm- 4pm after the entombment. In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated to the CMHA (Canadian Mental Health Association) or "Go and Play Stable." A registered Canadian Charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, retraining and rehoming Standardbred harness racing horses.
